At Canadian University Dubai, we pride ourselves on our commitment to providing a quality, Canadian education for all. We understand the importance of difference and diversity, and we do not want financial limitations or special needs to get in the way of your enrollment. To alleviate some of this concern and to reward high academic achievers, CUD offers the following scholarships:

- Academic Excellence Scholarship
Overall Terms and Conditions
- To be considered eligible for the Academic Excellence Scholarship, students need to be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours.
- Scholarships awarded for the fall semester are valid for one year, provided that the CGPA is maintained as per the information below and provided the student registers for at least 12 credit hours per semester.
- Scholarships awarded for the spring semester are valid for one semester only.
- Deadlines for the fall semester (July 7th) and spring semester (December 20th) must be met.
- Scholarships do not apply for summer semesters.
- Applicants must email their scholarship application forms along with all supporting documentation to scholarship@cud.ac.ae by July 7th (fall intake) or December 20th (spring intake).
- Late or incomplete scholarship applications will not be considered by the scholarship committee
- Academic Excellence Scholarship Allocations
50% tuition waiver
- High school students need to have attained an academic average of 99%* or above to apply for a 50% tuition waiver.
- For current CUD students renewing their scholarship, the semester CGPA at the conclusion of the semester must be 3.98 or higher to continue receiving a 50% tuition waiver.
40% tuition waiver
- High school students need to have attained an academic average of between 95 – 98.9%* to apply for a 40% tuition waiver.
- For current CUD students renewing their scholarship, the semester CGPA at the conclusion of the semester must be between 3.95 – 3.97 to continue receiving a 40% tuition waiver.
30% tuition waiver
- High school students need to have attained an academic average of between 90 – 94.9%* to apply for a 30% tuition waiver.
- For current CUD students renewing their scholarship, the semester CGPA at the conclusion of the semester must be between 3.9 – 3.94 to continue receiving a 30% tuition waiver.
20% tuition waiver
- High school students need to have attained an academic average of between 85 – 89.9%* to apply for a 20% tuition waiver.
- For current CUD students renewing their scholarship, the semester CGPA at the conclusion of the semester must be between 3.85 – 3.89 to continue receiving a 20% tuition waiver.
10% tuition waiver (returning students only)
- High school students who were granted an automatic 20% tuition waiver for their first semester at CUD and have maintained a 3.8 – 3.84 CGPA, may be eligible for a 10% tuition waiver on the subsequent semester.
* UAE Secondary School Certificate or equivalent

The Guiding Principles for Canadian University Dubai scholarships must be met.
- Sports Scholarship
This scholarship is meant for elite and talented athletes from any sport who have competed and achieved success at least at a city level. Sports Scholarships are awarded based on the applicant’s sports achievement level and their academic performance. A tuition waiver of up to 40% can be applied accordingly.
Overall Terms and Conditions
- Sports Scholarships are valid for one semester only.
- Students can reapply each semester to continue their scholarship.
- Deadlines for the fall semester (July 7th) and spring semester (December 20th) must be met
- Sports Scholarships do not apply for summer semesters.
- For high school applicants to be eligible, they must have a minimum academic achievement of 70%.
- Returning students are required to achieve a minimum of a 3.0 CGPA to be eligible to apply/ reapply for the Sports Scholarship.
- Successful applicants will be required to support the sports department in different events and will be required to contribute up to 15 hours per month of community service as part of their commitment to the University.
Applications for the Sports Scholarship must include:
- Completed application form
- Brief bio including relevant sport accomplishments
- Scanned copies of references from the applicant’s coach and/or PE teacher on institutional letterhead
- Scanned copies of certificates relevant to the sport the applicant is applying for
- The Guiding Principles for Canadian University Dubai scholarships must be met.
- Financial Hardship Scholarship
The objective of these scholarships is to promote access to higher education to students facing financial hardship. A tuition waiver of up-to 40% can be applied as evaluated on a case-by-case basis
Overall Terms and Conditions
- Financial Hardship Scholarships are valid for one semester only.
- Students can reapply each semester to continue their scholarship.
- Deadlines for the fall semester (July 7th) and spring semester (December 20th) must be met.
- Financial Hardship Scholarships do not apply for summer semesters
- For high school applicants to be eligible, they must have a minimum academic achievement of 75%.
- Returning students are required to achieve a minimum of a 2.8 CGPA to be eligible to apply/ reapply for the Financial Hardship Scholarship.
- Successful applicants will be required to contribute up to 15 hours per month of community service as part of their commitment to the University.
Applications for the Financial Hardship Scholarship must include:
- Completed application form
- Current rental contract
- Bank statements
- Employee certificate and salary statement for each employed family member
- Copy of passport and visa for all working family members (or both parents)
- Certificates of educational tuition fees for each sibling
- All documentation will be kept confidential. Any application with incomplete documentation cannot be considered by the scholarship committee when awarding the Financial Hardship Scholarships.
- The Guiding Principles for Canadian University Dubai scholarships must be met.
- Special Needs Scholarship
We at Canadian University Dubai pledge to provide an inclusive learning environment and to support the cognitive, emotional and creative development of students with disabilities. Special needs may be justified by physical or other disabilities.
Students eligible for a Special Needs Scholarship will benefit from a tuition reduction of up to 40%.
Overall Terms and Conditions
- For students applying for the Special Needs Scholarship at the point of admission to the University, the academic average will be considered by the scholarship committee on a case-by-case basis.
- For current students, a minimum CGPA of 2.0 is required to be eligible to apply for the scholarship.
- Deadlines for the fall semester (July 7th) and spring semester (December 20th) must be met.
- Special Needs Scholarships do not apply for summer semesters.
- Students are required to provide an up-to-date professionally documented diagnosis that will be kept confidentially.
- The scholarship application is reviewed by and subject to the scholarship committee’s discretion.
- The Guiding Principles for Canadian University Dubai scholarships must be met.
- Special Talent Scholarship
This scholarship is meant for elite and talented individuals from any field who have competed and achieved success at a city level or beyond. Special Talent Scholarships are awarded based on the applicant’s achievement level and their academic performance. A tuition waiver of up to 40% can be applied accordingly.

- Special Talent Scholarships are valid for one semester only.
- Students can reapply each semester to continue their scholarship.

Study Scholarship
Fall 2023-24 New student – 10% Study Scholarship (T&C)
- Students must register for a minimum of four courses or 12 credit hours in the Fall 2023-24 semester.
- Students should pay a minimum of 60% first semester value before registering for the courses (which includes AED 2,500 tuition deposit, non-refundable but adjustable and is part of Fall 2023-24 semester tuition fees).
- Students must pay the total semester fees in full by July 31, 2023 (Monday).
- Students can combine the offer with other applicable fee reductions and merit scholarships, excluding the MOU FLAT tuition fee reduction. (The maximum fee reduction capped in the Fall 2023-24 semester will be 60%)
- Fee reduction is applicable towards the credit courses only and is not applicable on non-credit courses and incidental fees.
Fall 2023-24 Returning student – 05% Study Scholarship (T&C)
- Students must register for a minimum of four courses or 12 credit hours in the Fall 2023-24 semester.
- Students should pay a minimum of AED 2,500 tuition deposit before registering for the courses (non-refundable but adjustable and is part of Fall 2023-24 semester tuition fees).
- Students must pay the total semester fees in full by July 31, 2023 (Monday).
- Students can combine the offer with other applicable fee reductions and merit scholarships, excluding the MOU FLAT tuition fee reduction. (The maximum fee reduction capped in the Fall 2023-24 semester will be 60%)
- Fee reduction is applicable towards the credit courses only and is not applicable on non-credit courses and incidental fees.
Summer 2022-23 – 10% Study Scholarship (T&C);
- Students must register for a minimum of two courses or 06 credit hours in the Summer 2022-23 semester.
- Students should pay a minimum of AED 2,500 tuition deposit before registering for the courses (non-refundable but adjustable and is part of Summer 2022-23 semester tuition fees).
- Students must pay the total semester fees in full by April 30, 2023 (Sunday).
- Students can combine the offer with other applicable fee reductions, excluding the MOU FLAT tuition fee reduction. (The maximum fee reduction capped in the Summer 2022-23 semester will be 30%)
- Fee reduction is applicable towards the credit courses only and is not applicable on non-credit courses and incidental fees.

CUD Announces Canada Day Scholarships at Business Council Event


Canadian University Dubai (CUD) has announced the launch of its fourth annual Canada Day scholarship awards at a recent event to celebrate the country’s national day, organized by the Canadian Business Council in Dubai.
Established in partnership with the Canadian Embassy, the awards offer the opportunity for students from any nationality, who intend to start at CUD and then move to Canada for higher education, to obtain a 100% tuition fee scholarship for their first year of studies (terms and conditions apply). The initiative has run annually since 2013, to coincide with Canada’s national day on 1st July.
This year’s scholarships were announced by Mr. Brian Banford, Executive Director of Community Outreach and Corporate Relationships, at a gathering convened by the Canadian Business Council to mark the early celebrations for Canada Day 2016. Hosted in collaboration with CUD, Dubai Expat Canadians, and Canadian Alumni in the UAE, the event was also attended by Canadian Consul General, His Excellency Mr. Emmanuel Kamarianakis.
Speaking during the celebrations, H.E. Mr. Kamarianakis said, “We are now in our 149th year and we are getting ready for the 150th year of Canada. We have set out an agenda moving forward which includes focusing on our diverse and multicultural societies, focusing on our first nations society, focusing on our youth, growing our economy and growing our society.”
CUD aims to align with this agenda through the Canada Day scholarship; to promote the development of young people and to act as an enabler in their contribution to the advancement of wider society. As well as celebrating the University’s bonds with Canada, the scholarships promote the shared values of cultural diversity, academic excellence and global citizenship.
This year’s scholarships will support two students to embark upon an accredited degree program at CUD starting in September 2016.

At Canadian University Dubai, we value the spirit of knowledge acquisition and professional advancement, and strive to provide access and support wherever possible, our Special Discounts Program being a stellar example.
Through this program, we encourage and promote access to higher education for family members of our students, employees and those of the EMIVEST Group. The Special Discount Program offer is also applicable to government employees.
Some key information:
New and existing undergraduate and graduate students may be eligible for one form of discount in the cost of tuition each semester. Two types of discount cannot be combined; however, it can be combined with an active merit scholarship.
Students who have been awarded a reduction in the cost of tuition must be, and remain in, good financial and academic standing to be considered a potential recipient.
Discounts are not applied when there is an outstanding balance owing to Canadian University Dubai that is not paid by the last day to register without late registration penalties.
You may not appeal the decision of the University or the percentage or amount of the reduction assigned. The decision to grant or deny a reduction in cost is final.
Discounts are applied to the current semester of registration and cannot be deferred to future semesters or applied to previous semesters.
The discount is applied to the cost of tuition only. Other related costs are not discounted.
A refund is not granted for the discount amount if the student drops out or withdraws from a course.
Exchange students and transfer courses to and from other institutions are not eligible for the discount.
Applicants must provide evidence that they meet the minimum qualification for the discount.

Students having a brother(s) or sister(s) registered at the University will benefit from a 10% discount on the tuition fees of the registered courses.
Spouse Discount

Summer Study Abroad Opportunities
Several of our faculty members have taken an entire class abroad to deliver a Canadian University Dubai course while exposing the class to a foreign country and its culture. These Study Abroad courses are usually offered in the summer time and may combine class time at our campus in Dubaiwith overseas delivery or the courses may be delivered entirely overseas.
Architecture courses or educational study trips have been offered in Germany and Italy.Many of our partners have the capacity to provide local support to such initiatives. These can include airport pickup, residence and meal plans, guest lectures, cultural and social tours etc. If you are a student and are interested in taking part in such a course, speak to the Leader of your program.
Canadian University Dubai Announces Canada Day Scholarship Awards

Canadian University Dubai (CUD) has announced its third annual Canada Day scholarship awards to coincide with Canada’s national day on 1st July.
The University, in partnership with the Canadian Embassy, is inviting applications from Canadian nationals starting their first year of undergraduate studies in Fall 2015. The scholarships will support two students to embark upon an accredited degree program at CUD.
The Canada Day scholarships were established in 2013 to celebrate CUD’s bonds with Canada, and are awarded annually on the basis of academic attainment and financial need. This year’s recipients will be presented with their scholarship by Canadian Consul General, His Excellency Mr. Emmanuel Kamarianakis at a ceremony at the start of the Fall semester.
To be eligible for the scholarship, a candidate should hold a Canadian passport, starting first year of undergraduate studies and meet all the requirements for admission to the University. Preference will be given to candidates with a high CGPA and those in financial need
University Chancellor, Mr. Buti Saeed Al Ghandi, said, ‘When we established CUD, our mission was to help give back to society by bringing the world-renowned Canadian education system to the UAE. Promoting and celebrating academic endeavor is a core value we share with our Canadian counterparts and the Canada Day scholarships are a fitting way to acknowledge our shared values and celebrate this important date.’
Canadian Ambassador to the UAE, His Excellency Mr. Arif Lalani, said, “I am grateful for these generous scholarships. The Canadian University Dubai exemplifies the commitment to excellence and education that both Canada and the UAE share. These scholarships offer Canadian nationals a unique opportunity to study and develop in an exciting and innovative environment here in Dubai.”

CUD Announces Canada Day Scholarship Winners

September 6th, 2016: Two students from the School of Communication and Media Studies are set to embark upon an international education experience following the award of the annual Canada Day Scholarships at Canadian University Dubai (CUD).
Nada Anan and Marwa Jumah will start their degree programs at CUD on a one-year, 100% scholarship awarded by the University, in coordination with the Canadian Embassy and the Consulate General in Dubai. Both girls then plan to take up the unique opportunity to transfer their credits to one of CUD’s partner institutions and complete their higher education in Canada.
Originating from Palestine, journalism major Nada is aiming to pursue her passion for storytelling and is excited about the opportunities ahead. She said, “Growing up in a conflict zone has had a powerful effect on my ambitions. My hope is that one day I will be able to tell the stories of the Palestinian people all around the world, and getting a top-class international education will be the first step to achieving this goal.
“I am honored to receive this scholarship and grateful for the welcome I have received at CUD. The University already feels like home and ultimately I’m looking forward to making a home in Canada in the future.”
Meanwhile, fellow scholarship awardee Marwa is excited about expressing her creativity through a major in advertising. She said, “I love being imaginative and inventive, and CUD was always my first choice to study advertising because I knew that the Canadian perspectives of learning would promote that freedom of expression.
“I have always wanted to study in Canada and this scholarship will give me the opportunity to start my university journey and benefit from a strong curriculum in the UAE before I make the transition to study overseas.”

CUD Scholarship Winners Get Set for Home-style Education

Canadian nationals Khalil Boukhris and Isra Tawfiq Elagib are to benefit from a home-style education here in the UAE following the award of two academic scholarships by Canadian University Dubai (CUD).
The pair of Bachelor of Architecture students have been selected for this year’s Canada Day scholarships, awarded by CUD in coordination with the Canadian Embassy and the Consulate General in Dubai, to two Canadian students starting out on their higher education.
Established in 2013 to celebrate the University’s bonds with Canada, the scholarships provide recipients with the opportunity to embark upon an accredited degree program at CUD, which bases its programs on Canadian curriculum and education principles.
This year’s recipients were awarded their scholarships by Canadian Consul General, His Excellency Mr. Emmanuel Kamarianakis, and President and Vice Chancellor of CUD, Dr. Karim Chelli, at a ceremony that also welcomed a new batch of undergraduate students for the 2015-16 academic year.
Having completed high school in Montreal, Khalil was fascinated to discover a Canadian university in the UAE, and is looking forward to starting out on his degree. He said, “Studying architecture at Canadian University Dubai is an exciting opportunity for me to experience a home away from home and be inspired by some of the world’s most iconic architectural creations; I am very thankful for the opportunity this scholarship has given me.”
Isra, meanwhile, who hails from London, Ontario, is embarking upon a new life in Dubai following her high school studies in Oman, and says that the scholarship is a huge motivation for her to excel. She commented, “As a Canadian citizen I’m very proud to have been awarded this scholarship in honor of our national day, and it will be a great encouragement for me as I take on the challenges that lie ahead.”
Welcoming all the new students to CUD, Dr. Chelli encouraged them to take full advantage of the opportunities that University life will offer them in preparing for their future responsibilities in society. Canadian University of Dubai Creates Scholarship to Support Government Staff in Higher Education

DUBAI, 28 April: Canadian University Dubai and Dubai Health Authority have begun a progressive new partnership that promotes higher education to its administrative staff.
In support of Flag Day, an initiative by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, which aims to ‘blend the sense of nationhood with loyalty to the country to preserve its achievements and inculcate the concept of good citizenship’, the newly created Chancellors Scholarship annually grants one of Dubai Health Authority’s employees a permanent place in the Canadian University Dubai’s popular Masters of Business Administration Program.
The Program is ranked #1 in Dubai by Forbes Middle East and gives one student each academic year the chance to broaden their education and advance further in their career.
The partnership began with Mr Buti Saeed Al Ghandi, Chancellor of Canadian University Dubai, presenting Engineer Essa Al Haj Al Maidoor, Director General of Dubai Health Authority, with the certificate at their Headquarters.
The first recipient of the Chancellors Scholarship will attend the Canadian University Dubai this coming academic year.
Canadian University of Dubai Announces the Return of the Canada Day Scholarship

In honour of Canada’s national day, his Excellency Mr. Buti Saeed Al Ghandi, Chancellor of the Canadian University Dubai and His Excellency, Arif Z. Lalani, Ambassador of Canada, have today announced the return of the annual Canada Day scholarships.
The scholarships, based on academic merit will be awarded to two students commencing their final academic year following a selection process involving the Canadian University Dubai’s scholarship committee and the Canadian embassy.
“The Canada Day scholarship isn’t just about rewarding excellence,” said Chancellor Al Ghandi. “It’s about celebrating our links with Canada and showing our commitment to the future of young people through investment in education. We are thrilled to acknowledge those students who work hard to go above and beyond to meet the values that are at the heart of the Canadian University Dubai’s mission and vision.”
Canadian University Dubai President, Prof. Karim Chelli added: “Following the success of last year’s Canada Day scholarships, it is with great pleasure that we announce their return for 2014. We strive to encourage our students to become all-round good citizens – a core value that is shared by the Canadian University Dubai and the United Arab Emirates, in addition to being a model student, so to be able to reward those who have shown extreme tenacity in the pursuit of excellence across the board is something that we are particularly proud of.”

The scholarships will be administered by the Canadian University Dubai, and recipients will be announced by the University on Canada Day.
CUD Announces Canada Day Scholarships at Business Council Event


Canadian University Dubai (CUD) has announced the launch of its fourth annual Canada Day scholarship awards at a recent event to celebrate the country’s national day, organized by the Canadian Business Council in Dubai.
Established in partnership with the Canadian Embassy, the awards offer the opportunity for students from any nationality, who intend to start at CUD and then move to Canada for higher education, to obtain a 100% tuition fee scholarship for their first year of studies (terms and conditions apply). The initiative has run annually since 2013, to coincide with Canada’s national day on 1st July.
This year’s scholarships were announced by Mr. Brian Banford, Executive Director of Community Outreach and Corporate Relationships, at a gathering convened by the Canadian Business Council to mark the early celebrations for Canada Day 2016. Hosted in collaboration with CUD, Dubai Expat Canadians, and Canadian Alumni in the UAE, the event was also attended by Canadian Consul General, His Excellency Mr. Emmanuel Kamarianakis.
Speaking during the celebrations, H.E. Mr. Kamarianakis said, “We are now in our 149th year and we are getting ready for the 150th year of Canada. We have set out an agenda moving forward which includes focusing on our diverse and multicultural societies, focusing on our first nations society, focusing on our youth, growing our economy and growing our society.”
CUD aims to align with this agenda through the Canada Day scholarship; to promote the development of young people and to act as an enabler in their contribution to the advancement of wider society. As well as celebrating the University’s bonds with Canada, the scholarships promote the shared values of cultural diversity, academic excellence and global citizenship.
This year’s scholarships will support two students to embark upon an accredited degree program at CUD starting in September 2016.

CUD is committed to empowering students and inspiring them to pursue their academ-ic goals and career aspirations. In line with this initiative, we are pleased to announce that 9 Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Student Scholarships are now available for students enrolled in CUD’s Faculty of Management.
Our Faculty of Management embraces the largest number of students at CUD and de-livers a personalized learning experience directly linked to future-facing research and practice.
This scholarship opportunity will provide financial aid to recipients by waiving the one-time program enrolment fee and discounting the exam registration fee to $350 (from approximately $1000).

Through this program, we encourage and promote access to higher education for family members of our students, employees and those of the EMIVEST Group. The Special Discount Program offer is also applicable to government employees.
Some key information:
New and existing undergraduate and graduate students may be eligible for one form of discount in the cost of tuition each semester. Two types of discount cannot be combined; however, it can be combined with an active merit scholarship.
Students who have been awarded a reduction in the cost of tuition must be, and remain in, good financial and academic standing to be considered a potential recipient.
Discounts are not applied when there is an outstanding balance owing to Canadian University Dubai that is not paid by the last day to register without late registration penalties.
You may not appeal the decision of the University or the percentage or amount of the reduction assigned. The decision to grant or deny a reduction in cost is final.
Discounts are applied to the current semester of registration and cannot be deferred to future semesters or applied to previous semesters.
The discount is applied to the cost of tuition only. Other related costs are not discounted.
A refund is not granted for the discount amount if the student drops out or withdraws from a course.
Exchange students and transfer courses to and from other institutions are not eligible for the discount.
Applicants must provide evidence that they meet the minimum qualification for the discount.
Special Discounts Program Categories:
Sibling Discount
Students having a brother(s) or sister(s) registered at the University will benefit from a 10% discount on the tuition fees of the registered courses.
Spouse Discount
The husband or wife of a student registered at the University will benefit from a 10% discount on the tuition fees of the registered courses.
Alumni Discount
Graduates of Canadian University Dubai who pursue a Master’s Program will benefit from a 50% Discount on their Remedial Preparation Program (RRP) Courses and 20% Discount on the tuition fees of the registered MBA/MIT courses.
Alumni Sibling and Spouse Discount
Siblings and spouses of Canadian University Dubai graduates will benefit from a 10% discount on the tuition fees of the registered courses. Discount does not apply to non-credit courses.
Government Employee Discount
Undergraduate Government Discount
Undergraduate students who are employed in government institutions will benefit from a 10% discount on the tuition fees of the registered courses.
Graduate Government Discount
Graduate students who are employed in government institutions will benefit from a 5% discount on the tuition fees of the registered courses.
Student Council Executive Members Discount
- Active executive members of the Student Council may be eligible for a discount.
- Eligible members can receive discounts only during the Fall and Spring semesters.
- No discount is offered for the Summer semester.
- Eligible members should be registered for a minimum of 12 credit hours in the semester.
- Eligible members must meet the minimum CGPA required by the Student Council Policy and should have a clear financial standing.
- This discount cannot be combined with any other discount; however, it can be combined with an active scholarship at an adjusted rate.
- Discount is subject to management discretion and is based on performance evaluation.

Scholarships for UAE nationals
Apart from Ministry of Education, several government entities provide internal and/or external scholarships for UAE students according to certain terms and conditions.
Scholarships from Ministry of Education
MoE provides scholarships to UAE nationals for graduate and undergraduate programmes to study abroad in one of the recognised universities as specified by the ministry provided the applicant:
- is a UAE citizen
- has good conduct
- has secured in the previous qualification an average of very good as per the set standards
- has the required score in the language proficiency examination set by the respective college/university.
Scholarships are provided to the following categories of applicants:
- undergraduate students
- graduate students
- students studying at their own expense and desiring to apply for the scholarship
- high-performing students
- employed individuals.

Cancellation of the scholarship
The scholarship will be terminated by a decision of the education Minister based on the federal law concerning scholarships and grants.

Scholarship Office at Ministry of Presidential Affairs selects outstanding Emirati students to travel abroad to pursue education at prestigious international universities. SCO administers two scholarship programmes:
- Distinguished Student Scholarship (DSS)
- Study Abroad Scholarship Programme (SASP)

· Scholarships – Department of Education and Knowledge
The Department of Education and Knowledge provides scholarships to distinguished UAE students by partnering with organisations throughout the UAE. Scholarships are available in disciplines such as science and technology, teaching, urban planning, food control and transportation.
· TRA scholarship programme
Through its ICT Fund, Telecommunications Regulatory Authority offers Betha programme for undergraduate and graduate students wishing to study ICT-related subjects. The Betha programme has provided hundreds of scholarships for bachelor and masters degrees and enabled Emirati students to study in the UAE, the USA, Australia and Japan.
· Masar programme for college scholarships
Under the Masar programme, Ministry of Finance (MoF) offers college scholarships to assist UAE high-school graduates in completing their studies in finance, accounting and other disciplines at accredited universities in the UAE.
· Entaliq scholarship programme
Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC) offers scholarships to the brightest students in the UAE who demonstrate the aspiration to become a top engineer or scientist. The programme allows access to international experience through MBRSC partnerships across the world. Applications can be submitted by sending the CV and required documents to: scholarships@mbrsc.ae.
Scholarships for students from abroad
Many universities in the UAE offer scholarships and grants to recognise leadership potential and outstanding academic achievements. In 1999, H. H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid announced the creation of scholarships for studying in the American University in Dubai for eligible students. This step reflects the government’s commitment to education as the driving force in the accomplishment of Dubai’s and the UAE’s public agenda.
Many universities in the UAE offer scholarships for students from abroad based on mutual agreements between the UAE government and other countries. For other scholarships, students can check with the respective university for the available academic and sports scholarship programmes, which are based on certain criteria and requirements.

Steps:
The Ministry of Education provides government scholarships. Hundreds of students are sent abroad annually to study in the most prestigious institutions of higher education. To apply for scholarships, please read the following steps:
- Applicant create an account and logs in through the website
- Applicant submit request through the electronic system along with completion of all required data (general information, contact details, details of previous qualifications and details on requested scholarship)
- Scholarship Department employee receives the application and reviews the same to verify all information and documents
- Scholarship Department employees verifies conditions and standards of the scholarship application
- Scholarship Department employee prepares a list of all nominated scholarship applications
- Director of Scholarship Department presents all nominated scholarship applications to the Scholarship Committee for their decision (approval / rejection)
- Scholarship Department employee contacts students nominated for scholarships to schedule personal interviews.
- Scholarship Decree relating to students is submitted for approval
- Students are contacted to complete scholarship execution procedures and to coordinate with attaches, cultural offices, and UAE embassies abroad to inform them of the student’s scholars
