Employment practice

CUD aims with its employees to achieve higher levels of economic productivity through diversification, technological upgrading and innovation, including through a focus on high-value added and labour-intensive sectors.

Pay all staff and faculty at least the living wage, defined as the local “living wage”

The university recognizes union and labor rights for everyone, including women and international staff

Policy on discrimination in the workplace (including discrimination based on religion, sexuality, gender, age)

Political commitment to no forced labor, modern slavery, human trafficking, and child labor

Policy on guaranteeing equivalent rights of workers if/when outsourcing activities to third parties

Policy on pay scale equity including a commitment to measurement and elimination of gender pay gaps

Measure/track pay scale gender equity

Process for employees to appeal employee rights and / or pay
